GUANGZHOU , China — GUANGZHOU , China — The 10th edition of the China International Furniture Fair will be its biggest yet, according to the China National Furniture Assn. and the China Foreign Trade Center, organizers of the show.
The fair is set for Aug. 18-21 at the Chinese Export Commodities Fairground here.
Since the first of the semiannual shows in 1998, CIFF has boomed, riding the wave of global interest in Chinese-made furniture. The upcoming market will cover some 700,000 square feet in 10 halls. About 700 exhibitors from 13 countries and 20 provinces of China are expected to participate.
Categories represented will include bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen and office. The show is especially strong in office seating, outdoor furniture and contemporary styled furniture in both case goods and upholstery.
In conjunction with CIFF, Home Textile China also will be staged, offering buyers sources for curtains, bed coverings, furniture fabrics, bed and bath, carpets and accessories.
More than 7,000 trade buyers from 30 countries and regions are expected to attend, according to organizers. The main markets served by the show, however, are Europe and the domestic Chinese market.
