Thomas again wins Bemco tournament

DUNN, N.C. — Bemco dealers and their guests played in the 38th annual Bemco Golf Tournament last month at the Country Club of Whispering Pines in Pinehurst, N.C.
David Thomas of Thomas' Appliance Sales and Service in Henderson, N.C., was the tournament's winner with a two-day score of 153. It was the fourth time Thomas has won the Bemco tournament.
Joey Jessup, Homeway Furniture, Mount Airy, N.C., came in second and Dan O'Conner, Southern Furniture, Fayetteville, N.C., was the champion putter.
The tournament's banquet speaker was John Bunting, head football coach at the University of North Carolina.
