Texas retailer Dianne Flack celebrates 35th anniversary

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, June 24, 2002

Dianne Flack Furniture, which celebrated its 35th anniversary at its showcase store here, has gone from selling mattresses out of a garage in 1967 to five furniture stores with over 200 employees.

Founders Dianne and Larry Flack began in a garage, expanded into a small store, then grew to more than 110,000 square feet of display space and 175,000 square feet of warehouse space.

The retailer now has a Thomasville Home Furnishings store, a Lame Comfort Showcase Gallery store, a Leather Gallery store, an outlet store and the Grand Showcase store.

Major vendors for the chain include Thomasville, Lane, LeatherTrend, Palliser, Maitland-Smith, Bradington-Young, American Leather, Allusions and Century.

Kim Kennedy, left, president of Dianne Flack Furniture; Marian Chester, senior vice president; and Pat Sullivan, vice president and chief operating officer.
