Importing veteran Freddy Ma joins APWTrade

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, September 3, 2001

Furniture importing veteran Freddy Ma has joined APWTrade as senior vice president of operations for APW's Furniture Division.

APW is a contract manufacturing and sourcing company based in Singapore, with offices in the Philippines, China and the United States.

Ma comes to APW from IFM International, a division of Standard Furniture, where he was vice president of operations. He has spent over 20 years developing the furniture trade in China and the Pacific Rim.

Ma will be responsible for all sourcing and operations activities across APW's network of Asian manufacturers. He reports to division President Bill Benton at APW's U.S. marketing headquarters.

"Freddy is one of the most well-known and respected operations managers in the import furniture industry," Benton said. "His experience will provide APW customers with the assurance that their products are being produced at the right factory, on time, and at the highest possible quality level."
