American Society of Interior Designers to meet during NeoCon
Integrating conference into June 15-17 event in Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. — The American Society of Interior Designers will have its 2009 annual national conference at the 2009 NeoCon World's Trade Fair.ASID and NeoCon show management company Merchandise Mart Properties have partnered to integrate the conference into the three-day event, which takes place from June 15-17 at Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
The show features more than 1,200 contract furniture manufacturers and importers in 1.2 million square feet of exhibition space. It draws about 50,000 attendees each year.
The ASID conference will feature a keynote speaker, networking opportunities and a variety of educational forums.
"The partnership between MMPI and ASID is a collaboration which will benefit the thousands of attendees who visit NeoCon each year," said Mark Falanga, MMPI's senior vice president.
Michael Alin, ASID's executive director, said having the national conference at NeoCon would enhance the experience for ASID members and at the same time contribute to the overall NeoCon event.
