WHFA taking retailer award nominations

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The Western Home Furnishings Assn. is accepting nominations for its 2009 Western Retailer of the Year.

The award recognizes home furnishings retailers in the West who show excellence and innovation in store design, operations, advertising and marketing, community and industry involvement, and commitment to the environment.

Recent winners have included Jerome's Furniture of San Diego this year; Linder's Furniture, Garden Grove, Calif., in 2007; Dearden's, Los Angeles, in 2006; and Furniture Enterprises of Alaska, based in Anchorage, in 2005.

Manufacturers, suppliers, home furnishings professionals and members of the press are eligible to submit nominations through Dec. 15. More information and nomination guidelines are available online at www.whfa.org.
