HIGH POINT — Online registration is open for the spring High Point Market, which will run Saturday through Thursday, April 25-30.
The April show will herald the 100th anniversary of the market, which started in 1909.
To register online, visit www.highpointmarket.org. For assistance, call the High Point Market Authority at (800) 874-6482 or e-mail registration@highpointmarket.org.
In addition, the Market Authority said it has secured blocks of discounted hotel rooms at 35 area hotels, with some reductions as much as 25% off regular market rates. Hotels currently listed on the Market Authority Web site have base rates ranging from $65 to $179. More may be added before market.
The rates will be available until Jan. 31 or until the rooms are sold out. While some restrictions apply, none of the listed properties requires more than a three-night minimum stay.
“We continue to look for ways to provide affordable accommodations for our market guests, particularly in light of current economic conditions, and more and more hotels are supporting our efforts,” says Brian Casey, president and CEO of the Market Authority. “We strongly encourage marketgoers to book early and to choose their accommodations from the properties listed on our Web site, www.highpointmarket.org, as these hotels have chosen to partner with us to make a trip to market more affordable for retailers, exhibitors and sales representatives.”
