LeatherCreations ad pokes fun at Illinois governor
Advertises ‘Senate seats' for $1,999
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 29, 2008
CHICAGO — Furniture store LeatherCreations is making lemonade out of a sour political situation in Illinois by advertising its own "Senate seats" for sale at $1,999, according to an online report by the Cleveland Leader.
Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich had been accused of offering to sell president-elect Barack Obama's seat in the U.S. Senate, but not for this cheap.
LeatherCreations' ad proclaims, "We sell more seats than the Governor!"
