HFIA to offer health plans

DALLAS — The Home Furnishings Independents Assn. has entered into an agreement with a division of Trustmark Life Insurance to offer a health insurance program for HFIA members.
The program, offered through Trustmark Affinity Markets, is designed for member companies with two or more employees.
The health plans are designed to help members better manage their health insurance costs and combat the rising costs of health care, according to the HFIA, a Dallas-based association with members in all 50 states.
The insurance program, available for effective dates of Feb. 1 and later, offers nationwide network access and provides medical, prescription drug, dental and life/AD&D coverage. It also offers a comprehensive suite of wellness and condition management tools through Healthy Foundations, and a paperless, online or telephone enrollment process called Express Connect.
“Using Express Connect expedites the underwriting and enrollment process, reducing typical industry delays of incomplete applications and local brokers needing to collect data,” said Jana Sutherland, group health insurance administrator for the HFIA.
