Cologne show offering travel package to North Americans

COLOGNE, Germany — Koelnmesse, the U.S. subsidiary of the organizer of the Cologne furniture market, is offering a lodging and events package for North American furniture retailers and interior designers attending this month's show.
The five-day package includes four nights at a business class hotel, entry to the fair's 10 halls and a one-day visit to high-end design stores here. It also includes a welcome reception, the Designer Awards reception, a seminar about how to import European furnishings, a guided tour of Cologne landmarks, dinner at one of the city's oldest Brauhauses, a daily breakfast buffet, and hotel and service charges.
The price is 585 euros per person, double room occupancy, with an additional 330 euros for single occupancy. The package is subsidized by Koelnmesse, and participants will receive a reimbursement check of 300 euros.
Flights to and from Germany are not included. The Cologne market runs Jan. 19-25.
