Wynn's Thomas being honored as Design Icon

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 18, 2009

Las Vegas-based designer Roger Thomas of Wynn Design and Development will be honored as a Design Icon and will give a lecture during the winter Las Vegas Market.

Thomas, who has designed the interiors of a number of hotels in Las Vegas and elsewhere and also has created a line of furniture and other home products in a 40-year career, will speak at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12. The market takes place Feb. 9-13.

In the Design Icon Lecture Series, which has featured honorees including Vladimir Kagan and Larry Laslo, industry legends share their stories and experiences in order to inspire future designers.

“Roger is an outstanding and inspirational individual,” said Bob Maricich, World Market Center president and CEO. “We admire his talent and his generosity in sharing his expertise and resources with the design community.”

Las Vegas Market attendees can register for the February event and can reserve discounted rooms online at www.LasVegasMarket.com.
