CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. —
Acme Furniture, a case goods and upholstery importer based here, will soon open a distribution center in Dallas.
The 100,000-square-foot facility will be the company's sixth distribution center and its first in the central United States. It is scheduled to open March 1.
Acme Vice President Marvin Rubin said the new facility will improve the company's service to retailers in the Midwest and South Central states.
“Freight rates have become an issue, but the Dallas warehouse will enable us to offer better rates and provide better service to our customers,” Rubin said.
In addition to its main distribution center in City of Industry, Acme has facilities in Miami, Atlanta, and two in the New York City area.
