Van Ess president of Palecek

RICHMOND, Calif. — George Van Ess has been promoted to president of high-end furniture, lighting and accessories source Palecek.
Van Ess has been with Palecek for more than 17 years, most recently as vice president and general manager of the Contract Furnishings Division formed in 2005.
As president he succeeds Allan Palecek, who remains CEO. Van Ess continues to report to Palecek.
Van Ess will apply his background in sales, finance and operations to lead the company's day-to-day functions while Allan Palecek will focus on design, the company said.
“George has 30 years of experience in the home furnishings industry, making him an invaluable asset to Palecek,” said Allan Palecek. “In the many years he has been with us, George has made incredible contributions to the company.”
