MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Hooker Furniture has promoted Anne Jacobsen to vice president-human resources, with oversight over personnel policies and benefit programs. She also is developing wellness and continuing education programs for Hooker employees.
She has been director of human resources since joining the company in January, and has worked in human resources management for more than 20 years.
“Her ability to multi-task, deal with many complicated issues, provide the right blend of benefits at the right price, all the while taking time to listen and respond to employee concerns, makes her a valued member of the Hooker family,” said Larry Ryder, executive vice president, finance and administration.

Montage Furniture Services
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — David Beckerjeck and Meghan Hearty have been hired as corporate trainers for Montage Furniture Services, a furniture protection plan provider.
Beckerjeck and Hearty will be responsible for providing educational and motivational training to MFS retailers and sales representatives.
“With their diverse backgrounds, both will offer innovative ideas and tools to MFS retailers to help them grow their protection plan business,” said Alan Salmon, MFS president.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Fiber supplier Jones Fiber Products has hired Douglas Gillespie of Redmond, Wash., as western territory manager, with responsibility for developing and managing sales.
He has worked in sales and sales leadership in the mattress industry for 20 years, most recently with Freudenberg Nonwovens and Burlington House Fabrics.
