Trammell Crow, Dallas Market Center founder

DALLAS — Dallas Market Center founder Trammell Crow has died at his family farm near Tyler, Texas. He was 94.
In 1948, Crow formed Trammell Crow Co., a real estate development and investment firm responsible for projects in commercial, residential, hospitality and retail around the nation.
He began his wholesale trade development business in 1955 with the more than 70,000-square-foot Dallas Decorative Center. Today's Dallas Market Center campus of five million square feet includes the Trade Mart, World Trade Center, International Floral & Gift Center and Market Hall.
In 1975, Crow expanded globally to co-develop the Brussels International Trade Mart in Belgium, which remains under Crow ownership. In 2002, a Crow company also became the management partner for ShanghaiMart.
