Web Summit set for Vegas

LAS VEGAS — To help the home furnishings industry use the Internet to its best advantage, a free Web Summit seminar is scheduled here on Sunday, Feb. 8, the eve of the winter Las Vegas Market.
Mary Frye, president of the Home Furnishings Independents Assn., the Dallas-based association of independent retailers, will emcee the half-day event.
Topics to be addressed include the importance of online content development, let by Rick Doran, president and CEO of R&A Marketing; untangling the search engine optimization and pay-per-click enigmas, by Mark Phelps, president and CEO of Partner Marketing; segmenting and personalizing e-mail campaigns, by David McMahon, director of e-commerce for Profitconsulting; and what you need to know about e-commerce, by David Lively, president and CEO of The Lively Merchant.
The summit will conclude with a question-and-answer session.
