Singapore association re-elects Ng president

SINGAPORE — The Singapore Furniture Inds. Council has re-elected Andrew Ng, managing director of Kiat Lee Inds., as president for a second term.
During his two years as president of SFIC, which represents the Singapore furniture industry, Ng oversaw the launch of the International Furniture Centre, a platform for international sourcing, and Singapore Mosaic, the furniture industry's brand.
Also re-elected as vice presidents of the group were Neo Sia Meng, executive director of Four Star Inds., and Jerry Tan, managing director of Jaco Singapore. In addition, Tony Pang, chairman of the International Furniture Fair Singapore Show Advisory Panel, was re-elected as honorary secretary.
In other appointments, Steven Chew, COO of Sitra Holdings, was elected honorary treasurer, and Alison Kwok, managing director of Cathay Decorating and Construction, was named assistant honorary treasurer.
In addition, Andrew Pang, creative director of Lavaworks, has joined the council's leadership team. Together with Simon Ong, managing director of Kingsmen Projects, who chairs both the International Design Advisory Panel and the Design Development Committee, Pang will continue to lead various design and technology initiatives, such as the Furniture Design Award.
Also, Ernie Koh, executive director of Richin Furniture Décor, was named assistant honorary secretary.
