DANBURY, Conn. — Ethan Allen Interiors has launched a contract division, hiring industry veteran Dan Grow to lead the initiative.
Grow, former president and CEO of Drexel Heritage and most recently president of consulting firm D.M. Grow, also will be responsible for the growth of Ethan Allen's international sales efforts. Grow is vice president of the new International and Contract Division.
Farooq Kathwari, Ethan Allen chairman and CEO, said the company is “well positioned to participate in the contract business.
“We can leverage our design leadership, interior design and product engineering capabilities, strong domestic manufacturing and logistics network, and our highly recognized brand to create solutions for the contract business,” he said.
The publicly held Ethan Allen sells its upscale home furnishings through a dedicated retail network of 293 interior design centers, 162 of which are company-owned, in the United States, Canada and overseas.
It operates five wholesale distribution centers and 29 retail service centers. The company owns nine manufacturing facilities, including two sawmills in the United States and one factory in Mexico.
