Glen Raven appoints Ellington, Oehmig to new positions

GLEN RAVEN, N.C. — Steve Ellington, who has been general manager and president of Glen Raven Custom Fabrics-Global, has been named president and general manager of Tri Vantage, the distribution services subsidiary of parent Glen Raven Inc.
He succeeds Harry Gobble, who is retiring after more than 30 years in the performance fabrics industry.
Leib Oehmig, general manager and president of Glen Raven Custom Fabrics-Americas, has been promoted to Ellington's global position.
Ellington is a 26-year veteran of Glen Raven and has held numerous positions at the company, including national sales manager of Glen Raven Custom Fabrics.
Oehmig's 19-year career with the company has included service as manager of Glen Raven's 1 million-square-foot Sunbrella plant in Anderson, S.C.
Reporting to Oehmig will be Eugene Deleplanque, general manager of Dickson-Constant, Glen Raven's French performance fabrics subsidiary, and Hua Li (Wally), general manager of Glen Raven Asia, the company's China-based business center.
Gobble joined Glen Raven in 1978 and has held a number of management posts, including director of marketing for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics. He was instrumental in developing advertising and marketing strategies to help propel Glen Raven's Sunbrella brand in the awning, marine and furniture markets.
