High Point University to salute Pat Norton
Feb. 4 chapel service will include special remembrance

HIGH POINT — High Point University's Feb. 4 chapel service will include a special remembrance of the late Pat Norton, the longtime La-Z-Boy executive and university supporter who died Dec. 4.
The service, which begins at 5:30 p.m. in Hayworth Chapel, is open to the public.

Norton, who retired as La-Z-Boy's chairman in August 2006, was a frequent lecturer in the university's home furnishings program, and a scholarship fund in his name is available to HPU students. Norton Hall, where the home furnishings program is based, is named after him.
The Norton family will be guests of the university at the service.
