Newly formed Delos opens its first Atlanta showroom, showing eight collections from van den Brink & Campman, a 104-year-old Belgian rug maker. Introducing a Custom Border Program that combines the strength of its woven wool broadloom manufacturing with the ability to create custom-size area rugs. The rugs are available with serged borders or with a choice of 18 border patterns including leather, cotton twill and jute. Depending on the choice of broadloom and border, the customized rugs retail from $600 to $1,500 in 6' by 9'. The program is available with a merchandising unit that takes less than two square feet of floor space. The unit houses a poster, samples of corner finishing options and a swatch-book of available borders.

Introducing the Minster collection, the first rug group to be produced under UW's licensing agreement with Woodward Grosvenor of Great Britain. The archives contain approximately 20,000 designs from the 200-year-old British carpet and rug manufacturer. The initial introduction includes 20 designs. Each pattern will include the historical provenance of the design. The million-plus point soft-hand polypropylene construction has 12 millimeter pile height, $300. During the introductory gala at the Atlanta rug market, each person viewing the collection will have the opportunity to win a trip for two to England.
