MCLEAN, Va. — Rowe Cos. has named Lorri A. Kelley, who has been running its Home Elements retail division, as senior vice president for upholstery manufacturer Rowe Furniture, filling a position that has been vacant for three years.
She will oversee merchandising, sales and marketing, and reports to Rowe Furniture President Bruce Birnbach.
Kelley joined Rowe in 1999 a president of Home Elements, a 19-unit chain of specialty home furnishings stores headquartered in McLean. She has worked in home furnishings manufacturing and retail for 15 years, previously with Pennsylvania House and Thomasville.
"Lorri has been part of a senior management group charged with consolidating The Rowe Cos.' two retail businesses into one," said Birnbach. "With that plan in place, she was free to join us in this strategic position. She has terrific talent and energy. She understands the business from both sides of the fence and we're excited to have her on our team."
Home Elements will be merged into Rowe's Storehouse retail division, with the conversion expected to be completed by the end of this year.
