GHFA helps create Atlanta show house
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 14, 2002
ATLANTA — The Georgia Home Furnishings Assn., along with Bowen Builders Group, has put together a show home in the Rivermoore Park subdivision here designed by a team of area furniture retailers.
"Our industry has taken note of a new trend. People are searching for a place to call home, a place that feels safe and secure," said Jeri Hadway, GHFA president. "Our members, who are competitors in the retail marketplace, have united to present this house and highlight the trend-setting design and furnishing choices available to all of Georgia's homeowners as they seek to personalize their homes on a budget."
The design team for the home consisted of representatives from Beverly Hall Furniture galleries, Cherry By Design, The Home Co., The House of Fine Furniture, Signature Interiors and Thomasville Home Furnishings by Field.
The 4,000-square-foot home is furnished in an eclectic blend of traditional themes and colors.
The show home is open to visitors Thursday through Sunday throughout April. Tickets are $10 for adults, and children under 12 are free. Currently listed for sale, partial proceeds from the sale of the house will benefit the family housing and transportation fund at the Shepherd Center, a specialty hospital for brain and spinal cord injuries.
