Italia Furniture's Sung Chun wins Natuzzi sales contest

HIGH POINT — Sung Chun, a sales associate at Atlanta retailer Italia Furniture, has been named the grand prize winner in a retail sales contest sponsored by Natuzzi Americas.

Chun won a trip to Italy for two, a limited-edition Natuzzi leather jacket and a three-piece furniture group for selling the most pieces of Natuzzi furniture during the four-month contest from Oct. 1 to Jan. 31.

Natuzzi didn't disclose the number of pieces that Chun sold during the competition.

Twenty-two other sales associates won trips to Italy for two and leather jackets.

Salespeople submitted separate entry slips for each Natuzzi piece sold. Winners were selected in drawings held in Natuzzi's High Point showroom during premarket.

One store sales manager, Brent Brittian of Hanks in Joplin, Mo., won a trip to Italy, leather jacket and three-piece group in a drawing separate from the regional winners.

John Phillips, executive vice president of sales for Natuzzi, said the sales contest "stimulated business and gave smaller dealers an opportunity to participate."

The four-day trip to Italy in June will encompass tours of Natuzzi factories, tannery facilities and the cities of Venice and Bari, Phillips said.
