Vaughan adds bedroom, dining to Pamela Scurry line

HIGH POINT — Case goods maker Vaughan Furniture is adding master bedroom and dining room to its licensed Pamela Scurry line this market.
Scurry's French Country Garden joins the youth bedroom collection the Galax, Va.-based producer debuted in October.
Scurry, a Madison Avenue retailer and author, is best known for wicker, but chose country French looks for her new collection at Vaughan.
"I started out in retail as an antique dealer, and I've spent a lot of time in the south of France," she said. "It made sense to add dining room, since French Provincial cooking is really close to me…. It's something I'm passionate about."
French Country Garden includes 30 pieces for bedroom, dining and occasional in cherry, with a finish inspired by an antique French table owned by Scurry.
The line is a mix of domestic and sourced product.
While going for a stepup look, prices are in line with Vaughan's other offerings. Sample retails include a dining table and four, $999; five-piece bedrooms from $1,399 to $1,599; and beds from $599 to $899.
