HIGH POINT — Via Leather, a high-end Canadian leather manufacturer, is making its U.S. debut at the April market.
Via is distributed by Verstile, its Montreal-based North American agent, which also imports Italian case goods resources Verardo and Prealpi.
The three lines are being shown in the International Home Furnishings Center, space H5123.
Verstile President Jack Dell'Accio said 1,000 square feet of the 2,200-square-foot showroom is devoted to Via Leather.
Well known in Canada, Via prides itself on fashion details and fine, thick leathers from suppliers such as Elmo. Retails range from $6,000 to $10,000, with 75 colors and six grades, Dell'Accio said.
The contemporary line includes stationary upholstery, recliners and sofa-sleepers. A sleeper with a mechanism that opens without the need to remove pillows is debuting this market.
All three lines target high-end specialty chains.
