Shaw Rugs, Nejad relocate

HIGH POINT — Shaw Rugs has moved its showroom here to Market Square, Space 204.
It's previous showroom is occupied by Nejad Oriental. The move means larger quarters for both companies.
In the Market Square venue, Shaw has the necessary space and ceiling height to showcase its various licensed and non-licensed products. Shaw's current licensed products include Kathy Ireland and Tommy Bahama rugs. The company is expected to launch its first rugs under the Martha Stewart label later this year.
"Our phenomenal sales growth over the past three years, along with continuing expansion of our rug collections, prompted our decision to move to a larger space," said Jeff Meadows, division vice president of Shaw Rugs.
Nejad Oriental is in Shaw's former space at the International Home Furnishings Center, D343.
Nejad is best known for its high-end, hand-knotted rugs. The company is expanding to a broader price assortment with new machine-made, hand-tufted and children's rugs.
