Niroflex readies new Brazil factory
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 14, 2002
HIGH POINT — Brazilian leather upholstery manufacturer Niroflex is set to open a new factory in Brazil this month.
The 100,000-square-foot plant, targeting its U.S. customer base, will enable Niroflex to shorten its delivery time on container-direct programs from 10 weeks to eight weeks, said Michael El Khatib, U.S. marketing director.
In addition, Niroflex is launching at the April market an in-stock program on three to four sofa frames in two to four colors. Retail pricing for these proven bestsellers will target $899 to $999.
The company also is developing a club chair/ottoman program to be stocked in the United States. Three frames are being introduced here for shipping in early May or June.
The married program, which will be expanded, offers $799 to $999 retails for two-piece sets.
