Bradington-Young acquires 2nd High Point showroom

HIGH POINT — HIGH POINT — Mid- to high-end leather upholstery producer Bradington-Young has purchased a second showroom in High Point to support its expanded collections, including a solid-wood English reproduction line debuting in April.
The second showroom, which will be open for the April market, is at 1710 King St., across the street from the existing showroom. The new space totals 35,000 square feet, of which 20,000 square feet will be used for display and the remainder for administration.
The new showroom, combined with the original 15,000-square-foot space, will better showcase the manufacturer's line of chairs-that-also-recline, executive seating, eight-way, hand-tied stationary upholstery and motion seating.
The additional space also is needed to support the expansion of Bradington-Young's import division, Christopher Coleson, which debuted last October. The division offers end tables, cocktail tables, bookcases and occasional wood pieces to complement the upholstery offerings, and has been well received, the company said.
In April, Bradington-Young will introduce the Thomas Cartier collection, a series of solid-wood English antique reproductions. It will join the European-inspired, hand-painted LaMadeleine and Vanucci collections, already under the Christopher Coleson umbrella.
A broad collection of cherry bedroom and dining room items will debut to round out the Christopher Coleson offerings.
Scott Young, president and chief executive officer of Bradington-Young, said, "Our Christopher Coleson items are sourced from a single manufacturer and offer American furniture retailers a very high level of quality at very reasonable pricing."
A quick-ship program will be implemented on selected Bradington-Young/Christopher Coleson best sellers from the October market, Young said.
