John D. Bassett III to speak at YHFE event

High Point — John D. Bassett III, president of case goods maker Vaughan-Bassett, will speak at the Young Home Furnishings Executives market social event here on Friday, April 19.
Bassett will address "The Current Issues Facing the Furniture Industry." The event, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the String and Splinter, is open to all market attendees.
The YHFE was founded in October 1999 as an organization to support young management growth in the industry, and has more than 300 members.
Its goals include helping the industry attract and retain talented young people, and providing opportunities for professional development. Information is available on the group's Web site, www.yhfe.org.
