DuPont's Lycra will allow upholstery covers to stretch

HIGH POINT — HIGH POINT — DuPont will introduce two innovative upholstery covers at the International Home Furnishings Market here next week.
DuPont's Lycra will be added to Irish linen and to leather, enabling both materials to stretch. The introductions were driven by consumer demand for easy care and high performance in textiles for upholstery covers, according to the company.
In addition, for the first time, DuPont Textiles and Interiors will show all the company's home furnishings brands under one roof. Its market showroom, Market Square Textile Tower space 382, will focus on Teflon, Stainmaster, MicroSuede, Lycra and others.
DuPont is celebrating its 200th year in business in 2002.
