HickoryMark taps Maddrey
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 7, 2002
SHERMAN, Miss. — Roland Maddrey has been named vice president of sales for upholstery maker HickoryMark. He succeeds Harold Clark, who left the company to join Distinctive Designs (see story below).
Maddrey reports to Jim Wall, president of HickoryMark, a La-Z-Boy division.
For the past year, Maddrey has been an independent sales representative for HickoryMark in Florida and Alabama. Previously, he worked for Broyhill for 17 years in a variety of sales posts. He will be based in the Tupelo area.
"I am delighted to promote Roland to this executive sales position," said Wall. "His experience, sales knowledge, and leadership qualities are expected to make a major contribution to HickoryMark's success as we move forward with our new management team and greatly improved operating and customer service capabilities."
Other new managers include Rusty Berryhill, vice president of manufacturing, and Coleman Cody, vice president of upholstery. Wall said the company has been restructured with new manufacturing methods, new systems, a re-engineering of all facilities, and a new delivery system that includes its own transportation fleet.
