Knoxville, Tenn. — Arnwine's Home Furnishings here has opened an expanded, 1,460-square-foot Stressless Zone. Stressless seating systems are a division of Ekornes, the Norwegian upholstery manufacturer.
Owned by furniture industry veteran Jim Arnwine, the store opened in June 2000 with an 822-square-foot Stressless Zone.
"We've had such enormous success with Stressless and the entire Ekornes line that we had to expand," Arnwine said. "In a recent weekend we sold over $60,000 worth of merchandise. We can't keep it in the store."
With the enlarged gallery, Arnwine's 10,000-square-foot store now carries every chair in the Stressless line as well as 10 models of Stressless and Ekornes sofas.
