LENOIR, N.C. — Broyhill Furniture galleries have been opened in stores in Texas and California.
Beall Furniture has an 8,680-square-foot gallery in its new 42,000-square-foot store in Lufkin, Texas. This is the second Broyhill Showcase Gallery that co-owner Tom Beall has opened; the first is in the Jasper, Texas, store. There are three Bealls' locations in eastern Texas.
Neal and Patsy Beall founded Bealls Furniture and Appliance in 1976, selling their home and quitting other jobs. Twenty-five years later, the retailer has over 100,000 square feet of display space in the three stores. Bealls Furniture received the prestigious Family Values Award as part of the 2001 Texas Family Business of the Year Awards.
In Fresno, Calif., Fashion Furniture has opened a 7,500-square-foot Broyhill Showcase Gallery. The launch was celebrated in conjunction with the retailer's grand opening of its new 75,000-square-foot facility.
Store owner Rod Avedikian said, "We are experiencing tremendous success since the store's opening. Traffic and resulting sales are strong. We are very pleased with the outcome."
Fashion Furniture was founded in 1960 by Rod's father, Kerry Avedikian.
