ROSEMONT, Ill. — Restonic Mattress has signed a new licensee in a bid to build its share of the Hispanic market.
G&M Mattress Corp., with a 115,000-square-foot plant in Commerce, Calif., will target the Hispanic market in Southern California with distinctive product and merchandising materials.
"This partnership is very exciting for Restonic," said Ed Scott, the bedding company's president. "The owners of G&M Mattress are savvy marketers, in touch with their target audience. Their proven success in Southern California and Arizona, combined with the Restonic brand name, will be key to their success."
"We will provide Spanish labeling and signage, and place advertisements in Latino newspapers, television and radio stations," said Ricardo Villanueva Jr., president of G&M Mattress. "We will make it easy for our target audience to find us and understand the benefits of our products."
Hispanics account for 41%, or 7 million people, in the Los Angeles market where G&M is based.
