HIGH POINT — Applications are due March 1 for the Celia Moh Scholarship, which will pay the tuition, room and board and books for college students in home furnishings programs.
Currently enrolled, full-time students in programs related to home furnishings are eligible.
Information and applications are available on the Web at www.mohscholarship.org or through financial aid offices at Appalachian State University, Catawba Valley Community College, High Point University, Kendall College of Art & Design, Mississippi State University, North Carolina State University or Virginia Tech.
"During this inaugural year of the program we have selected seven schools with world-class home furnishings programs from which to launch the scholarship," said Joe Carroll, spokesman for the scholarship committee and publisher of Furniture/Today. "In future years, we anticipate expanding the scholarship program to a wider variety of institutions and we will include rising freshmen in the competition."
Established by home furnishings industry veteran and entrepreneur Laurence Moh, the $3 million Celia Moh Scholarships honors Moh's wife of 42 years.
