By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 28, 2002
NEW YORK — Ron Kass has resigned as chief executive officer of fabric supplier The Robert Allen Group.
Kass, who joined the company in 1994 and headed its turnaround, said, "I have wanted for some time to own part of a company and now will pursue my personal goal — teaming up with a major private equity firm to pursue acquisitions in the home and office furnishings and related industries."
LifeStyle Furnishings International recently sold Robert Allen recently to Décor Holdings, an affiliate of Corber Corp.
Kass will stay on for several weeks to assist in the transition of ownership to new Robert Allen executives Ronald Cordover, chairman and CEO, and Jeff Cordover, vice chairman. The Cordovers own Décor Holdings, while Ron Cordover owns Corber Corp.
