Center Point to expand into adjacent facility

HIGH POINT — The owner of Center Point has purchased a vacant factory building behind the showroom complex here and will convert the building to additional showroom space.
Center Point owner Lynn Davis said the former Hickory Springs factory at Russell Avenue and Manning Street will be named Center Point on Manning. A walkway will connect it to Center Point, and it will be served by the Center Point shuttle buses.
Davis, also president of upholstery resource Astro-Lounger, said the Manning facility will have about 90,000 square feet of showroom space, and will be ready for premarket in September.
"It's a one-story building, but since it has high ceilings, we're going to put in another floor," said Davis. He said the motif will be similar to Center Point, which has hardwood floors and large glass showroom windows.
