AVENTURA, Fla. — AVENTURA, Fla. — Karel Exposition Management will add a Tampa Furniture and Decorative Accessory Market to its lineup of regional trade shows for 2003.
The show is set for March 1-3 next year in the Tampa Convention Center.
"We decided to supplement our highly successful Orlando show with this new Tampa show because the region is extremely strong and buyers are requesting a second market as they cannot stock for an entire year," said Larry Karel, president of Karel Exposition Management. "We expect a very early sellout and space assignments will begin shortly."
Karel said his 30-year-old company is coming off one of its best years and has waiting lists for many of its upcoming summer and winter shows.
"We've had a string of successful shows and a significant increase in attendance and exhibitor participation. As a result, we're expanding the size of several of our most popular shows," he said.
The Orlando Furniture & Accessory Market, Karel's largest show, is increasing in size this year to 1,500 exhibitor spaces from 1,300. It will run Aug. 23-25. The show in Long Beach, Calif., Nov. 24-26, will have more than 800 exhibitor booths in two adjoining halls, up from about 500 in 2001.
And in addition to the Mid-Atlantic Furniture and Decorative Accessory Market in Edison, N.J., Aug. 4-6, the company is adding a Mid-Atlantic Holiday Show in Edison on Nov. 10-12.
KEM's other regional markets are in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Worcester, Mass.; and Las Vegas. More information is available on the company's Web site at www.kemexpo.com or by calling (305) 792-9990.
