Carolina Mirror

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. — Carolina Mirror has promoted David Alkire to director of sales and marketing for the Decorative Product Group, Contract Sales and Industrial Furniture Sales, and named David Mastin director of internal sales.

Alkire, a 30-year veteran in home furnishings sales management, has been national sales manager of the Decorative Products Division for the past three years.

Mastin, an eight-year Carolina Mirror veteran, will be responsible for inside sales/service support, product design and marketing efforts for the Decorative Products and Contract Sales divisions.

Serta

ITASCA, Ill. —Stephen Day and Ken Nagler have been named national account coordinators at Serta Inc.

Day will report to Chad Megard and Nagler will report to Roxanne Franklin. Both Megard and Franklin are vice presidents of national accounts.

Day previously was a client support coordinator for CMC Exhibit Managers. Nagler worked in sales and programming for ACI, a communications company.

La-Z-Boy Arizona

CHANDLER, Ariz. – La-Z-Boy Arizona has honored top sales associates in its La-Z-Boy in-store galleries by naming them to the All-Arizona Sales Team.

Members are Cathy Gillespie, Arizona Furniture, Kingman, Ariz.; Peggy Sparks, Val's Furniture, Thatcher, Ariz.; Lupita Alvarado, Yuma Furniture, Yuma, Ariz.; Velma Linley, Legacy Furniture, Casa Grande, Ariz.; and Sally Brasheasrs, Marler's Furniture, Prescott, Ariz.

They averaged nearly $715,000 in sales in the state's rural markets. Gillespie, Sparks, Alvarado and Brashears are repeat winners.

Serta Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY —Spencer K. Bennett has been named sales manager at bedding maker Serta Salt Lake City. He reports to Curt P. Crowther, president.

Bennett previously was with Sealy, where he most recently was a territory manager.
