WHFA, NHFA partner for seminars during winter show
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 2, 2009
LAS VEGAS — The Western Home Furnishings Assn. and National Home Furnishings Assn. will hold a variety of free seminars and other activities during the Las Vegas Market, Feb. 9-13.
The seminars will take place in the Retailer Resource Center in the World Market Center, space B-1630, and also in space C-412.
WHFA and NHFA also have partnered with the WMC to post an education concierge in the lobby of Building B, who will have up-to-date seminar details, locations and speaker contact information.
One highlight of the seminar week is the WHFA Academy Training Series, which focuses on public relations and marketing. With the slow economy, it is important for retailers to create easy and inexpensive ways of getting their name out to customers by using public relations and new marketing solutions, according to the WHFA.
Topics that will be covered during the WHFA Academy Training series include e-mail marketing, community relations and Internet advertising. The sessions take place daily from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Retailer Resource Center.
Information about WHFA-NHFA activities during market, including a schedule of all seminars, is available online at www.whfa.org.
A calendar of educational events in Las Vegas is available on the World Market Center's site at www.lasvegasmarket.com.
