Broyhill's Express Program adding wood, more seating
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 2, 2009
LAS VEGAS — Broyhill's Express Program will be expanded to include case goods and additional upholstery frames at the upcoming Las Vegas Market.
The Express Program, which started in early 2007 with 10 upholstery frames, will now include additional upholstery and six of Broyhill's best-selling case good collections. The products will be merchandised and displayed for the first time as a complete program at the market, which runs Feb. 9-13.
With support from parent company Furniture Brands International's Asian offices, the newly expanded Express Program is aimed at satisfying the immediate needs of dealers and their customers by committing to having some of Broyhill's most popular collections in stock and available for immediate shipment. According to the company, the FBN Asia organization leverages the size and scale of Furniture Brands to make it easier for each of its brands to offer their dealers innovative inventory solutions like the Broyhill Express Program.
“By expanding this program, we are responding to our dealers' demands for quick turnaround on their orders as well as their desire to keep inventory levels down during this tough economic climate,” said Anthony Teague, vice president, upholstery division for Broyhill. “The program also provides an inventory solution for our smaller independent retailers who don't have the capacity to keep large volumes of inventory in stock or flow containers.”
The expanded Upholstery Express Program includes 16 fabric collections, four complete leather collections, nine coordinating chairs and one coordinating table ottoman in styles ranging from traditional to contemporary.
Some of Broyhill's most popular fabric and leather covers are offered, including chenilles, microfibers, cotton twills, corduroys and premium aniline leathers. Upholstery silhouettes range from traditional skirted options to more contemporary silhouettes with wood exposed legs in finishes ranging from the best-selling Attic Heirlooms finish to Attic Heirlooms Fireside Cherry and Affinity.
Six best-sellers are offered in the Casegoods Express Program, including bedroom and dining room in styles that include relaxed country, Louis Philippe, classic Shaker and Arts & Crafts. Bedroom groups include Crossroads, Cross Creek, Cross Towne, Nouvelle, Attic Heirlooms Fireside Cherry and Vantana. Dining room groups include Attic Heirlooms Fireside Cherry and Vantana formal and casual dining.
