Comfort Solutions hires 3 veterans

WILLOWBROOK, Ill. — Top 10 bedding producer Comfort Solutions has added three well-known bedding veterans to its executive ranks.
Owen Shoemaker, Eric Jent and Howard Galant have joined the company in newly created product development and sales posts “intended to accelerate our innovation and sales growth over the next few years,” said Dave Roberts, president and CEO.
Shoemaker, named vice president of product development, has spent 18 years in the mattress industry and in related industries, working at Ortho Sleep Centers, Latex Foam Products, Premier Bedding, Nature's Rest and Kingsdown. He was most recently at Xsensor, a Canada-based specialist in pressure-mapping systems.
“His dual experience in product innovation and design, along with his strong retail background, will be invaluable in our efforts to offer retailers meaningful products that their customers will want to buy,” said Roberts.
Shoemaker reports to Roberts.
Jent and Galant join Comfort Solutions as vice presidents of sales development, new positions designed to strengthen the company's sales performance with its dealers. Both previously worked at Spring Air.
Jent previously worked with Ashley Furniture and an Ashley retailer, and with Simmons. He will be based in Sparta, N.J.
Galant spent 15 years with Spring Air in national and key account sales positions. He also held sales posts at Stearns & Foster and Sealy. He will be based in Lake Forest, Calif.
Jent and Galant report to David Binke, executive vice president of sales at Comfort Solutions.
