SSA offering 'Breakfast in Bed' in Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Retailers can enjoy “Breakfast in Bed” at the market here on Wednesday, Feb. 11, courtesy of the Specialty Sleep Assn.
The SSA, a nonprofit organization that promotes the growth and awareness of the specialty sleep category, is inviting retailers to visit its space in the World Market Center, C-1350, for a breakfast of strawberries, croissants and mimosas from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
“With Valentine's Day just a few days after the market, the SSA wanted to get a jump on the holiday by inviting retailers to have 'breakfast in bed' with the SSA,” said Dale Read, president of the association. “We firmly believe that innovation and product development focused on better performance and meeting the needs of the consumer is the path to the future, regardless of the economy.”
Read said the technologies represented by the SSA, which include memory foam, latex, air, gel, water, springs and natural and organic products, will lead the way when the mattress industry resumes its growth.
The SSA has a permanent 15,000-square-foot space at the market.
