Foamex replaces two board seats

MEDIA, Pa. — Foam supplier Foamex International has named two executives of investment firm D.E. Shaw & Co. to its board of directors, replacing two members who are stepping down.

Brandon Baer, a senior vice president of D.E. Shaw, and Sarah Johnson, a vice president of the firm, have joined the board, replacing Seth Charnow and David Lyon, according to Jack Johnson, president and CEO of Foamex.

“I would like to acknowledge the insights and experience that were provided by Seth Charnow and David Lyon as they leave the board,” said Johnson. “We appreciate the continued strong support of the D.E. Shaw group. They have been a needed pillar of strength for our company.”
