Home Express Sales and Lease to open first franchises

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Home Express Sales and Lease, a six-store rent-to-own chain based here, will soon open its first two franchised locations.
The newest stores — one each in Indiana and Kentucky — will open in 30 to 60 days. The company said it would not disclose the exact locations until shortly before the openings.
“This is truly a dream come true for me — the ability to match investors with some of the country's strongest operators and the ability to provide equity to these operators without risking their entire savings,” said Chris Caprio, president and CEO of KHF Holdings, parent company of Home Express.
Caprio said he is seeking additional franchisees for the 18-month-old chain.
“The challenging economy has actually created opportunities in several markets,” he said. “Combine our business agility, an aggressive market and our strong management foundation, and 2009 will be a very promising year for our organization.”
KHF Holdings also is the licensee for five Ashley Furniture HomeStores in Louisville and Indianapolis.
