Wolinski to head La-Z-Boy educ.

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 3, 2002

MONROE , Mich. — La-Z-Boy has hired Ron Wolinski as director of education and retail services, responsible for creating the company's product, sales and design related training and education programs.

Wolinski replaces Tom Zollar, who was recently named managing director of La-Z-Boy Europe, and reports to Ken Salm, vice president of sales.

He joins the company with more than 25 years of management experience in sales education, employee training and retail marketing in the home furnishings industry, most recently with Columbus, Ohio-based Value City Furniture, where he was the national director of education and development.

Prior to that, he was manager of sales education at Simmons in Atlanta, where he established the Simmons Academy. He also worked for Thomasville as a marketing representative and was president and owner of Behavioral Dimensions, a consulting company for training and development.

"Ron's knowledge and experience in sales education will be integral to the overall growth of La-Z-Boy," said Salm.
