Gennett to discuss competition

MONTEBELLO , Calif. — Michael Gennett, president of the San Francisco Mart, will speak about competition for showroom tenants at a breakfast event here March 15, sponsored by the Home Furnishings Representatives Guild of Southern California.
In a talk entitled "The Realities of Western Furniture Markets," Gennett will present the Mart's views on potential competition from the proposed World Market Center in Las Vegas. He plans to dispel the many rumors and misconceptions that he says have arisen regarding the markets. A question-and-answer session will follow.
The presentation will be at 9 a.m. in the Quiet Cannon Restaurant at the Montebello Country Club. To reserve a spot, call the Guild office at (213) 747-1463 by March 11.
