MARIETTA, Ga. — Quality Imaging Products, a supplier of laminating equipment to the furniture industry, is the exclusive distributor of Japan's Asahi Gosei Kagyo Co.'s synthetic leathers in North and South America.
Under the brand name Syntex, QIP will market, distribute and inventory the synthetic leathers in two different grades and 24 colors. Custom colors also will be available.
Syntex leathers offer the look and feel of genuine leather, the companies said, and are suited for residential, contract, automotive or marine applications. Michael August, QIP vice president, said, "Asahi synthetic leathers provide an upscale, durable and authentic look."
QIP has named William Hendrix and Scott Bennington as general sales manager and product manager, respectively, for Syntex.
