Decorize

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —Alex Budzinksy has been named executive vice president of Decorize, a global direct source of home accents for retailers large and small.

Budzinsky has 20 years experience in corporate finance and investment banking with such companies as Citibank, Dean Witter and Merrill Lynch.

IAEM chapter

SAN FRANCISCO —Andrew Toplarski has been named chairman of the International Assn. for Exposition Managers' Northern California chapter.

He is director of show production for Western Exhibitors and Universal Shows. He has been with Western Exhibitors since 1987.

Lippincott & Margulies

NEW YORK —Randall Stone has been named to Lippincott & Margulies' retail design practice here. He is a partner in the brand strategy consulting firm.

Also, Eric Granof has been promoted to partner in the company's Los Angeles office.

Stone is an award-winning architectural and design specialist who most recently was senior environmental design director at Interbrand. Previously, he was a senior project manager at Elkus/Manfredi Architects in Boston.

Granoff has been with the firm since 1999, and has spearheaded business development efforts on the West Coast.

OfficeMax

CLEVELAND —Michael F. Killeen has added the title of chief financial officer to his role as senior executive vice president, financial and corporate strategy, with small office/home office furniture retailer OfficeMax.

As CFO, he replaces Jeffrey P. Freimark, who has resigned but will remain an advisor to the office superstore chain.

Killeen worked for the public accounting firm Arthur Anderson for 32 years.

Also, Neal A. Guliano has been named to the new post of senior vice president, advertising and sales promotion. He will be responsible for all OfficeMax marketing communication and corporate branding programs.

Guliano previously served as senior vice president, advertising, at CVS Corp., and has more than 20 years experience in advertising and marketing.

• HONORS

IFDA chapter

NEW YORK —Kelvin Bido, a second-year student at the School of Visual Arts here, is the first winner of the International Furnishings and Design Assn. New York Chapter Brenda McCauley award.

The $1,500 cash award, which will be presented annually to a New York-area design student, is based on commitment to the design profession, community service and academic excellence.

Bido, a first-generation American from the Dominican Republic, is the first person in his family to attend college.

Robb & Stucky

FORT MYERS, Fla. —Lynn Cheever, retailer Robb & Stucky's human resources coordinator, has received official certification in human resources management and conduct from the Human Resources Certification Institute.

ASID

WASHINGTON — The American Society of Interior Designers has appointed 11 people as Fellows, the highest honor the society bestows on members.

They are H. Don Bowden, Barbara Campbell, Sandy Friend, Marilyn Hansen, Jim Marstiller, Phyllis Moore, Mary Jane Reeves, Melinda Sechrist, Michael Souter, Judy Verges and Diane Worth.

Inclusion as a Fellow is based on members' dedication to the interior design industry by promoting excellence and achievement from within the ASID.

AICO

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. — Amini Innovation Corp., or AICO, has added four sales representatives to its sales staff.

Natalie Smith will be responsible for sales in Louisiana. David Bakonyi will cover British Columbia and Alberta in Canada.

Brad Ford will handle eastern North Carolina, and Bob Wilkinson will cover western North Carolina and South Carolina.

CFC International

CHICAGO HEIGHTS , Ill. — CFC International, a holographic and specialty coated film manufacturer, has realigned sales territories and added Tom Calahan and Michael Coffman to its sales force.

Calahan, with more than 20 years sales experience in the print industry, has been named account executive and will rep CFC on the West Coast.

Coffman, an account manager, has over 13 years sales experience in the chemical industry. He will be responsible for the Midwest territory.
